Retrieve Technologies would like to announce the latest release of the rGuide Library Apps for both Android and Apple (iOS) mobile devices. This new app allows rGuide users to easily access their rGuide Library, and all of the high-quality rGuide content in it, from their Android phone/tablet, Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, and Apple iPod Touch. With this release, rGuides have become the true “go anywhere” training and certification platform. rGuides can now be utilized on the job no matter where your office may be. This is especially advantageous to those users who find themselves out in the field frequently or not always in front of a computer. Just select the rGuide Library app on your mobile device and start watching rGuides instantly.

We hope that this is something everyone takes advantage of as it really opens up the possibilities of use for rGuides.

The app can be found in both the Android Market and the Apple iTunes Store and is completely free to download. Below is all the information you will need to download the app and start viewing rGuides on your mobile device.

    Android App
In the Android Market search “Retrieve Digital Library” or follow this direct link: Retrieve rGuide Library App for Android

    Apple App
In the iTunes Store search “Retrieve Digital Library” or follow this direct link: Retrieve rGuide Library App for Apple

All of this new functionality comes with the release of version 6.2 of the rGuide environment. Also included with this release are two other improvements we would like to highlight. The first is that we are now utilizing a multi-node server infrastructure. This means that users are getting rGuide content from a server that is closer to them, no matter where they are located. With the server being closer everything in the rGuide environment is faster, including the streaming of video. The second improvement is the use of adaptive bandwidth detection. This allows for faster, smoother playback of video in rGuides and also provides for some increased capabilities with the video player. Overall rGuides will be running faster and more efficient than before. As we like to say, rGuides have been super-charged.

If you would like more information on any of these improvements please feel free to email us or give us a call at 603-428-8528. We look forward to hearing from you.
